Peter Busch planned a new, modern production facility at Düsseldorf’s Medienhafen. At the end of 2005 the time had come. Today, the liqueur specialty is manufactured in a 27 m high cubic production building with a total area of 5,500 square meters.
There are two filling lines, one of which is fully automated, and two 5,000 liter mixers. The production facility holds 20 V4A stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 700,000 liters and 2 V4A stainless steel tanks for the premix, each with a capacity of 13,000 liters. This is a completely process-controlled production.
State-of-the-art building technology and safety technology were used in the construction of the factory. The entire building is also air-conditioned through concrete core activation to provide the ultimate temperature control. Thanks to encapsulated production, Killepitsch is manufactured quietly and without emissions. After all, “Killepitsch” is a liqueur and is therefore not distilled but mixed.
The manufacturing process of the Killepitsch production facility on the first two upper floors is also unique and can be seen from the outside. A restaurant is being planned on the ground floor of the building, which promises to become a new hotspot in the trendy and dynamic Medienhafen.
A 27 meter long and 22 meter high glass event hall separates the “glass Killepitsch factory” from the adjacent Mediatower. A bar is planned here, the so-called “Killepitsch Bar”, in which evening events with live music and entertainment will also take place at regular intervals. In addition, the “Killepitsch Bar” can also be booked for company events with up to 200 guests.
